‘Get Mentoring’ - ASB
Free training for business mentors in Scotland

The UK Government recently launched a 'Get Mentoring' scheme to help boost the national number of women running businesses. This new scheme has been developed to offer valuable free training to around 5,000 volunteer business mentors, both male and female, throughout the country.
The 'Introduction to Enterprise Mentoring' training will prepare people to take on a mentoring role, and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge required. Through this training, volunteer mentors will also learn skills that will be useful to them in other aspects of their own business
and professional lives.
Mentors who successfully complete the training will have the chance to train with like-minded professionals, and will receive a Certificate of Recognition and free membership of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.
As part of this project, at least 500 volunteer mentors are being sought in Scotland to help support women as they set up and grow their businesses. Blue Horizons (Scotland) Ltd - a Fife-based company which specialises in women’s enterprise - has been chosen to deliver the Get
Mentoring scheme in Scotland. It is planned to deliver a series of these training events over the next six months. This training can be offered to groups of interested individuals – or can be organised for members of existing groups or business organisations.
